Carina graduated from the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ) as a Chemical Food Engineer. For her undergraduate thesis, she conducted research at the Biotechnology Laboratory of UAQ. In 2022 she obtained her master´s degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. At LIIGH she has served as an Academic Technician since 2015 to support the development and innovation of genomics and molecular biology techniques. She is the Technical Support for the research groups: Genome Evolution Laboratory; Ecology and Evolution and Mendelian Genomics and Precision Health.
