Population and Evolutionary Genomics
My PhD thesis project focuses on the integration of population genomics — including autosomal and mitochondrial ancestry, as well as molecular sex estimation — of individuals from the colonial period, together with the ancient pathogens identified in them, in order to trace lineages that were introduced to the Americas or exported from them as a result of colonization.
