Leonardo Iván Anaya González
Regulatory Genomics and Bioinformatics
I’m a Genomic Sciences (BSc) student and an undergraduate research trainee at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
I work under the guidance of Dr. Ale Medina, developing skills in data analysis and bioinformatics, with the goal of training as a bioinformatician within my research group.
My main research interests include genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and polygenic risk scores (PRS), with a particular focus on their application to complex diseases. I’m also part of MEXPd, a research network focused on Parkinson’s disease in Mexican populations.
My broader interests include genomics, bioinformatics, data analysis, and applying computational tools to biological questions, as well as building strong foundations in research methodology and contributing to data-driven approaches in life sciences.
