PhD Nínive Tanairy Rodríguez Ochoa
Regulatory Genomics and Bioinformatics
Nínive is a biologist graduated from the ENCB-IPN. She obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Cell Biology at CINVESTAV-IPN.
She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the LIIGH-UNAM, under the supervision of Dr. Alejandra Medina-Rivera. Her research aims to elucidate how genetic variability influences immune system regulation through the integration of functional genomics and single-cell technologies. Her work places particular emphasis on Latin American populations, contributing to a more inclusive understanding of human genomic diversity. She is also involved in a research project on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, focused on dissecting the genomic architecture and immunological mechanisms that underlie disease susceptibility and progression in the Mexican population.
