Maritrini is a postdoctoral researcher who has been working with yeast since her PhD. Her research connects molecular biology with human health, using yeast to explore how mutations linked to mitochondrial diseases affect yeast metabolism. Recently, she has started diving into the world of bioinformatics, aiming to one day master large-scale data analysis. Outside the lab, she enjoys painting and crafting.
