Dra. Laura Figueroa-Corona
Computational Population Genetics
Postdoctoral researcher exploring multiple aspects of evolutionary biology, with an integrative focus on population genetics, ecological genomics, and paleogenomics. Her current work focuses on the analysis of sedimentary ancient DNA (sedaDNA) from sediments of the Chihuahuan Desert to investigate environmental transformations that have shaped demographic history and ecological dynamics throughout the Pleistocene and Holocene, and how these changes have been reflected in patterns of genetic diversity.
