Michael Schatz’s laboratory develops novel computational methodologies and algorithms to aid in the interpretation of large scale sequencing projects. He is interested in the structure and function of genomes, as well as the technology necessary to store and analyze them. Prof Schatz has received the Sloan Foundation Research Fellowship, an NSF Early Career Award and has been named a Young Investigator of the Year, among other recognitions.
